In 1996 and 1997, Izeboud was working on two major plans: a three-year renovation plan for the existing three wings in the winters of 1998, 1999 and 2000, and a construction plan for new facilities to be realised in the period from 2000 to 2002. The aim was to improve quality. In 2002, Izeboud wanted to hand over the completely renovated hotel with new facilities to his sons Eef junior and Jules. In 2000, after an 8-year hiatus, Izeboud decided to re-join the Golden Tulip chain. Izeboud expected to achieve a higher occupancy rate with this.
